Brian Gephart

President

Brian Gephart has over 20 years of experience coaching basketball.  While serving a mission in New Zealand, his mission president asked him to coach a “Gridiron’ (American Football) team at Tangaroa College in the Otara area.   At 20 years old, Brian realized he had a gift for coaching.

Brian enjoys coaching, and helping players become better people.  He likes it when players make other team members, and themselves better.  Brian has coached AAU, select travel teams that have competed in California, Las Vegas, and Colorado, West Coast Elite teams, and all-star teams for Utah High School’s top players.  Brian’s teams have won Gold Medals and other championship trophies in Sacramento, Las Vegas, St. George, Cedar City, and other locations.  Over the years, Brian has coached many super league teams as well.  From 2009-2011, Brian was the head coach of the Bingham High School’s 9th grade team.  During his time as head coach, the team won the school league championship in 2010, and both the school league and county championships in 2011.

Brian partnered with Hoop Mountain because of their long-standing reputation.  The Hoop Mountain organization strives to build basketball players through caring coaches and teachers.

Brian’s ultimate goal and determination of successful coaching is to check back 20 years from now and see the young players successful in all aspects of their lives.
